About the Or Coed project OrCoed is a project funded by the European Union through LEADER+. The project is managed by Northern Marches Cymru.
The aims of the project are:to raise public awareness and understanding of the importance of the region's landscapes, woodlands and parks, together with their historical developmentto promote the sustainable utilisation of the region's woodland, tree and hedgerow resources for economic benefit
to establish awareness of the diversity of woodland, tree and hedgerow products, expounding the principles of sustainability and 'naturalness'to create and reinforce the premium branding of high-quality woodland, tree and hedgerow productsto showcase the work of the region's designers and furniture makersto encourage use of the region's rural restaurant, public house and accommodation businesses
